Today is the end of term deadline that we were supposed to have all our print products and Trailer finished but we have been given extra time to do it after half term. Yesterday we discussed our trailer with sir and found out that we could improve our trailer a lot more as some of it doesn't look like a trailer.
Over this weekend Manny is going to shoot some more footage for the trailer and next week we are going to come in on Tuesday to get some of the editing done. We have decided we are going to include an opening few shots to show that the boy has had a normal life previously and to show contrast between the start and the end of the trailer where it becomes much more dark. It also creates more of a storyline that the audience can follow and understand. As this was an issue with the trailer, the plot was not clearly presented and a clearer image needs to be created for the viewer.
Yesterday we came up with a plan for the scenes and looked at other trailers to compare ours with, this helped with our understanding of what a horror trailer is supposed to look like. We realised that we needed more footage and we needed to cut some of our footage down as the part where the character is in the woods is too long. Manny created some storyboards last night from the plan that we made yesterday and is going to shoot tomorrow as this is when the actor is available.
