Film Trailer:Progress

Over the past week Manny has been shooting some more of the footage that we need to use for our rough cut which we are aiming to complete by Friday. She has had a few problems over the past few weeks with regards to filming as she was ill for one weekend when we were planning to get some of the extra shots done. This means we had to rearrange our production schedule so that we would still have enough footage in time for Friday. Manny filmed at her own shop, where we had planned to film the flashback that would be featured near the beginning of the trailer, this is what we agreed. She filmed on the Monday and Tuesday night of this week. She informed me of what she had shot and what issues and problems had arisen on the shoot as naturally they do happen, this was so i have a good idea of how the camera work had been carried out, as i was not present when shooting this part of the footage as Manny said she would manage on her own, and i did offer to come and help  but we both decided it would be easier if Manny did it by herself as the setting is where she lives. After shooting some of the footage we found that it looked a bit red , we were unsure of whether this was the lighting in the room where Manny was shooting or if it was the setting of the camera. We were also trying to edit the footage when the program kept crashing and therefore we could not continue to edit on that day. Another problem we found in the footage was the positioning of the boy when he is in the forest as it does not run smoothly and ruins the continuity slightly as the boy jumps from place to place. We may consider re shooting this part when many is available to got to that setting again. We are also trying to edit it as best we can.
This week i have been working on the titles for the trailer. We have decided that we are going to have the same style font as the main title is in but we thought we would change the colour of the font because we still want the main title to stand out from the titles leading up to it. We also need to think about what the titles are going to say and how they are going to link to the footage shown and how we are going to represent the plot without giving to much information away as Mr Earl commented on Manny's post of the footage we had so far saying that the titles maybe didn't match the footage well. I have been making the titles for the trailer on photoshop, but i have realised that if we put them into Adobe premier pro, the program we are using for editing, that we may not be able to add many creative effects to make them stand out. We were thinking we wanted to make them move but we thought that we could only do a cross fade with the titles as they are imported images. this is something we are going to have to think about. We made the title move last year , this is where we got the idea from.
I have uploaded call sheets for the shoots and will shortly be uploading  the footage we have and the log sheets we have made.
